How I handle your data

This website, operated by Philipp Barth (Photobarth), respects your privacy and processes your data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

02 — What Data Is Collected

When You Visit the Website

This website is hosted and delivered via Vercel Inc. When you access the site, your browser automatically transmits technically necessary data:

• IP address
• Date and time of access
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Referrer URL (previously visited page)

Vercel Web Analytics is used to measure site traffic — a cookie-free, privacy-friendly analytics tool that reports visits only in aggregate, without recognising individual visitors. No evaluation for marketing purposes takes place. More under Section 4.

When You Fill Out the Contact Form

If you use the contact form, the following data is processed:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Reason for your inquiry
• Date (optional)
• The content of your message

This data is stored in a database hosted by Supabase and triggers a notification email via the delivery service Brevo to me, so I can reply to you. More under Section 4.

For Quote & Booking Requests

For creating quotes (offerte.photobarth.ch) and handling booked photoshoots (auftragsdetails.photobarth.ch), I additionally collect details such as your preferred date, location, desired package, and — where relevant — other people involved (e.g. witnesses, family members). This data is processed directly via the same Supabase database. More under Section 4.

03 — Purposes of Processing

Your data is processed exclusively to:

• respond to your inquiries
• carry out a booking (photoshoot, order)
• technically operate the website and protect it against misuse
• fulfil legal retention obligations (e.g. accounting)

Your data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

04 — Third-Party Providers & External Services

Vercel (Hosting & Analytics)

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). Vercel may act as a data processor outside Switzerland/the EU; for such transfers, Vercel relies on standard contractual clauses as a safeguard. Vercel Web Analytics, a cookie-free tool, is used for traffic analysis and evaluates visits only in aggregate, without recognising individual visitors. More: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Supabase (Data Storage)

Inquiries, quotes, and booking data are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, Inc. The project used is located in the eu-central-2 (Zurich, Switzerland) region — as a result, this data is generally not transferred to third countries outside Switzerland/the EU. More: supabase.com/privacy

Brevo (Email Delivery)

For sending notification and confirmation emails (e.g. after a contact inquiry), I use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France). This involves processing your name, email address, and the content of the relevant message. More: brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy

Google Fonts

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). When the page is accessed, a connection is established to Google's servers, transmitting your IP address. You can object to this in the cookie banner. More information: policies.google.com/privacy

Saal Digital (Galleries)

Photos from shoots are hosted on the Saal Digital GmbH (Germany) platform for delivery to clients. Data processing is governed by their privacy policy: saal-digital.ch/datenschutz/

Gumroad (Lightroom Presets)

Downloading the free Lightroom presets is handled via Gumroad, Inc. (USA). When downloading, you enter your email address directly with Gumroad. More: gumroad.com/privacy

05 — Cookies & Local Storage

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Only technically necessary storage elements are used:

• Cookie preferences — stores your choice from the cookie banner (stored locally in your browser, not a cookie in the technical sense)

You can delete this storage at any time by clearing your browser cache.

06 — Your Rights

You have the right, at any time, to:

• Access the data stored about you
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Erase your data (unless a legal retention obligation applies)
• Restrict processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw any consent given
